Heavy-based horns and gentler terrain in central Mongolia’s forest-steppe.
Hangai argali is taken in the forest-steppe and plateau country of central Mongolia, where the terrain is noticeably easier than the high western mountains. Mature rams carry heavy, massive horn bases with a wide flare, a different look from the tighter curl of their Gobi relatives.
This makes Hangai argali a realistic option for hunters who want a genuine argali trophy without committing to the altitude and physical demands of an Altai hunt.
We work with outfitters holding concessions in Arkhangai and neighbouring aimags and manage the quota, permit and export process on your behalf.
